Cocktail Corner
Jordan Connelly, the Fermain Valley Hotel’s Food and Beverage Assistant Manager
started his career working as a waiter in the bar at Gleneagles. It was at this
time, having discovered over 100 different single malts, that he became interested
in whiskeys and cocktails.
He quickly grasped the importance of learning as much as he could about the drinks
on offer in the bar and eagerly attended whiskey tastings and brand training courses
whenever possible.
His enthusiasm earned him promotion to the bar after six months and he soon joined
the UKBG (United Kingdom’s Bartenders’ Guild), demonstrating his cocktail making
skills at various shows and competitions.
Since coming to Guernsey, Jordan has only increased his knowledge and thoroughly
enjoys his job. He gets his inspiration from bartenders all over the world and is
delighted to share his top 2 cocktail recipes with us:
