Getting Around Guernsey

Nowhere is very far away in Guernsey, making getting around easy and generally inexpensive. The Fermain Valley Hotel will gladly organise any transport you may need, either in advance or during your stay in Guernsey. This includes the following:

Airport and Other Transfers

Our hotel mini bus seats up to 11 people and can collect you from the airport or harbour if arranged in advance with the hotel. We also operate a regular transfer into St Peter Port. Please check times with reception.

Car Hire

Guests of the Fermain Valley Hotel receive preferential rates with Europcar with prices starting from £12.50 per day for a standard vehicle. We will happily organise your car hire for you either in advance or during your stay with us. Please ask our reservation or reception staff for more details.

Local Buses

At just £1 a journey, local buses conveniently stop at most tourist attractions, beaches and even country lanes. A bus stop is located a short 2 minute walk up the hill from the hotel where buses will take you into St Peter Port, on to the West coast beaches and to the South Coast view points and cliff paths.

Taxis

Taxis on the island are reliable and plentiful and reception can happily arrange them for you on request. Early morning and late night taxi's should be booked in advance.

Bicycle hire

Cycling is a perfect way to take in the island of Guernsey and explore the hidden lanes and idyllic coastal paths. Various companies hire bikes on the island and our reception staff will happily help you with your enquiries.
