Prestigious Schneider Trophy air race is going to be held in Alderney this year.

The event will take place as a part of the 16th annual Alderney Air Race from 22nd until 23rd September.

It is the first time Alderney Air Club has been honoured to host such a major event for the British Air Racing association. The Schneider Trophy race has almost 100 years of history and normally takes place aroud the Solent area. This year, due to sudden area unavailability organizers decided to work together with Alderney Air Club to stage the race.
