Fermain Valley Hotel launch ‘Guy Tea’ to support M.U.G
Ocean restaurant and The Rock Garden Steakhouse have gone macho this November with the launch of a charity ‘Guy Tea’. £2.00 from every meal sold will be given to Male Uprising Guernsey and the charity has praised the initiative as a great way to get guys talking about male health.
The ‘Guy Tea’ menu, which can be washed down with a bottle of ale, includes miniature portions of classic dishes like Bangers & Mash and Boys’ Pork Pie with Stokes Steak Sauce. Other tasty dishes include Chopped Fillet Steak served with Peppercorn Aioli & Fat Chips and to finish a Shipwreck Tart & Boozy Cream.
The menu proclaims light-heartedly that ‘small appetites need not apply’ and the Fermain Valley Hotel’s chefs clearly know their audience. ‘We wanted to do something different to raise awareness of men’s health during November,’ says Commercial Director, Tim Coates. ‘We think the chefs have done a great job of devising this menu and it’s already proving popular. We’d love as many men and women as possible to enjoy the menu and donate to this very worthy cause.’
The special menu is available during November in Ocean restaurant every day from 3pm to 6pm and The Rock Garden Steakhouse, Tuesday to Saturday between 5pm and 7pm.
