Banish the winter blues with a bracing walk, a warm cuppa and the feel-good factor of helping a good cause.
The Valley Tea Rooms at Fermain Valley is raising money for Male Uprising Guernsey (MUG) by donating the value of every cup of coffee or tea sold throughout February to the local, male cancer charity.
Warm up by the fire in the Tea Rooms or take away a cup to enjoy whilst walking on the cliff paths.
Founder of MUG, Trevor Kelham said: ‘This is a fantastic way to begin the year for the charity. The Fermain Valley Hotel supported our recent Beard Up campaign, they also held a Guy Tea last year, so we are very grateful to Tim Coates and his team for their latest idea and on-going generosity.’
Manor Farms is also supporting the initiative by kindly donating the coffee. To help encourage more participation, a competition will be running where the one lucky individual who finds a butterfly stampl on their bill will receive a pair of return flights to Southampton courtesy of Blue Islands.
Tim Coates, Commercial Director of Fermain Valley Hotel, commented: ‘I am continually amazed by the charity’s efforts and feel that supporting their work with our own initiatives is the least we can do. We hope the community will come out, enjoy the beautiful Fermain surroundings and buy a charity cuppa.’
