Atlantic Endeavour Rowers stay with us in April

30th March 2016

Guernsey Girl Rebecca Charlton sets out on an adventure of a lifetime with team mates Charlotte Best,
Sarah Hornby and Kate Hallam. This December they are setting out to break two ocean rowing world records by rowing across the Atlantic whilst raising vital awareness and funding for their chosen charities. Their team, Atlantic Endeavor, is participating in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2016, the world’s toughest rowing race which sees around 30 ocean teams row from La Gomera in the Canary Islands across the Atlantic Ocean to Antigua in the Caribbean. More people have gone into space or climbed Everest than rowed the Atlantic! United by a passion for adventure, and surviving in extreme conditions, they aim to be the first women’s four to cross the finish line in English Harbour in early 2017.
They are visiting Guernsey to promote their challenge on 8th – 10th April and are staying here with us at The Fermain Valley Hotel, how exciting! Good Luck Ladies!
