Easter in Guernsey makes a great family holiday. Days can be filled with walks on the beach, exploring the island’s castles and forts, day trips to the other islands, or meandering the cobbled streets of St Peter Port and sampling its shops and cafes.
For the intrepid little explorers this year we will host our very own Easter egg hunt at Fermain Valley Hotel as well as our fantastic Easter Sunday lunch from just £25pp. Make sure you book early so you don’t miss out!
Whether you coincide your island visit with Easter itself or not, Spring is a special time in Guernsey – the island’s flora put on a spectacular show. The cliffpaths are transformed into flower-lined corridors. Bluebell Woods (just a five minute walk from the hotel) is a breathtaking sight when the woodland floor is awash with bluebells. St Peter Port and the island’s smaller villages also put a lot of pride and effort into their floral displays which are all part of the National RHS Britain in Bloom competition. The island comes alive as the weather warms and the days draw out. It’s a great time to visit Guernsey.
Travel by ferry is a popular choice for families at Easter as you can load up the car, then it’s just a three hour crossing from Poole to Guernsey. The harbour is just a five minute drive from the Fermain Valley Hotel. There are no luggage restrictions on the ferry so pack those surfboards, bikes and kayaks for an action packed holiday!
