Some people say they work in hospitality, Mark believes hospitality is his life. Having followed in his father’s footsteps, Mark fell in love with the industry at a very young age and always knew hospitality was what he wanted to spend his life doing. His predominant characteristic is to focus on five star customer service and he has excellent people skills which is revealed in customer relations and working with staff. Mark’s passion for the industry is represented in all that he does and he has gained his experience in hospitality management positions, working within world renowned international five star hotels and privately owned boutique hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Caribbean. Originally from the beautiful island of Bermuda known for its warm hospitality and picturesque sandy beaches; Mark has a five star mind set focusing on the implementation of excellence at all levels and is not prepared to accept anything less; this is invaluable when making sure that all guests have the comfort and pleasure of staying at the Fermain Valley Hotel. Daniel has been with the company for six years honing his skills as a waiter and barman before moving to reception. More recently, Daniel deals with hotel operations and implementing procedures to enhance guest’s experience.
Gavin started off his hospitality career in the kitchen before finding his true vocation greeting guests and ensuring they have the perfect holiday. Originally from Wales, Gavin worked seasonally in Guernsey before joining Fermain Valley Hotel six years ago as a receptionist. Working closely alongside Daniel and the rest of the reception team, Gavin is your friendly point of contact should you have any queries before or during your stay.
Viera has been on the island for eight years and has had experience both on reception and as a hotel manageress. Friendly and efficient, Viera looks forward to welcoming you to the Fermain Valley Hotel.
Jeanne studied Management in France for a total of five years during which she spent three years honing her skills in Hospitality Management in Lyon. Her studies included four months in Spain, Ireland, New Caledonia, Morocco and Guernsey.
After working at the Fermain Valley Hotel in summer 2014, we were lucky enough to welcome back the ever-smiling and friendly Jeanne to the reception team in her first job after graduation.
Karol has been a member of the Fermain Valley Hotel team for two years and has worked extensively in all departments throughout the hotel. Now based at The Venue, Karol is a brilliant host and looks after all the corporate bookings that are held here. A popular master of ceremonies for weddings, Karol will ensure that your special day is perfect.
Jelena started working at the Fermain Valley Hotel two years ago as a restaurant supervisor. Since then, she has advanced and refined her skills to become restaurant manager. Believing that having passion for your job is a way to succeed, Jelena puts all customers first ensuring that each individual is provided with exceptional service and has a great dining experience.

Sam has been on the island for over four years and has been working at The Rock Garden Steakhouse since the summer of 2014. Just as a chef may work their way up the ranks “behind the line”, Sam has worked his way up from being a barback in many of Liverpool’s respected cocktail bars to managing the cocktail bar.
Throughout the years, Sam’s style has emerged – that of a career bartender interested in studying technique, cocktail history, fresh ingredients, and seasonality. His inspiration lies in unique ingredients and ensuring that every menu he creates remains consistent and inventive.

Rebecca has an integral role liaising between departments in both The Venue and the Hotel, ensuring that all social and corporate events are organised and your requests are met. Compassionate and friendly, Rebecca looks forward to meeting you and looking after all your function needs from birthday parties, weddings to large-scale corporate events.
