There are no cars or paved roads on Sark with tractors and horse-pulled buggies being the primary method of transportation on the island. Sark is a stunning and unique place to enjoy a stroll or cycle ride, or a night under the star-filled skies.

In 2011, Sark was designated the first Dark Sky Island Community in the world meaning that the island is sufficiently clear of light pollution to allow you to view the stars and beyond with the naked eye.

Explore Sark either on foot or by bicycle which are available to rent on the island. Another brilliant way of travelling round the island is by horse-drawn carriage. Sit back and enjoy the views, whilst a local guide shoes you the hidden gems including La Seigneurie and can even take you further afield to Little Sark, which entails an exhilarating ride across the narrow Le Coupee.
