At just two square miles, what Herm lacks in size it more than makes up for in stunning natural beauty.
Located three miles East of Guernsey, Herm is just a 20 minute ferry from St Peter Port. It is a pedestrianised island, with just a couple of tractors for harbour deliveries and a handful of bikes for local residents, so it’s an incredibly peaceful, tranquil and slow paced island!
Herm’s two most popular beaches, Belvoir and Shell Beach, often draw comparisons to the Caribbean with their soft while sand and turquoise waters. The beaches are blissfully quiet and have completely evaded any signs of mass tourism. There is just a small kiosk at each beach selling the delicious Herm ice cream (which must be tried during every Channel Island break!)
